It’s officially pool season!! Get out those swim trunks and floaties because Earthadelic is about to transform your backyard into the best place in town to kick back and relax by the poolside. Our clients are so creative when it comes to designing their pools, that it has inspired us to make a list of features that will truly make everyone be in awe of your resort-worthy pool at your own home. Since our team creates pools out of gunite, we have the added flexibility to create custom elements to your specifications. Looking back on the pools we have already built or refurbished and also reading up about new trends, we have identified six enhancements that really make your pool stand out from the crowd.

  1. A Spillover Spa

Really want to add a major “wow-factor” to your pool? Spillover spas are a stunning way to add a waterfeature into your pool design. These spas cascade into the main pool giving off a tranquil waterfall sound and appealing focal point. In-ground swim spas are not only beautiful, but they give swimmers a warm place to gather and relax.

  1. Swim-up Bar

Need we say more? We can design your pool so that it has barstools built into the actual pool. Check out the photo above of a pool just after the gunite was completed, so you can see how simple it is to add this feature that will surely be a crowd-pleaser.

  1. Pool-house with a Full Bath

There is something to be said about form and functionality when it comes to pool design, and from our experience, incorporating a pool house is a must. Having a pool house with a full bath saves your main home from soggy swimmers tracking in water. Imagine having a place to change, wash up, and hang up your bathing suits to dry without going inside. Many clients are also creating multi-use pool houses that can function as an office, sitting room, or cabana.

  1. Tanning Ledges

You know that feeling when you are lying in the sun catching some rays but feel like you have to keep getting in and out of the water to cool off? With a tanning ledge, you have the best of both worlds. A flat area only a few inches deep, with bubblers and lounges, can be built into the design really easily so that you can stay cool in the water and get some sun at the same time.

  1. Elemental Features: Firepits, bubblers, lights, endless swimming systems, etc…

Honestly, the possibilities are endless in this category. Want a color-changing pool? Add some LED lights that are adjustable from your smartphone. Want a little heat? Add a gas firepit along the edge of the pool. Feel like getting some serious exercise in the pool? Add an endless swimming system that creates a constant current that you can swim against to get in your laps. Catching our drift yet? If you dream it, we can probably include it.

  1. Hardscape Features: Jump Rocks, Grottos, Slides, etc…

Earthadelic is known for having some of the best hardscapes around, and much of the credit can be given to our creative and hardworking teams that have been constructing world-class stone features for many years, but living in East Tennessee also gives us access to some of the most beautiful natural stones in the world. Our skilled craftsmen can add a custom jump rock, boulder wall, private grotto, or even a Zen Garden to your pool to make it unique to you.

Excited yet?! Give Earthadelic a call or send us a message from our website to get started on your pool. We are now scheduling installations!
